muslims collect money on fridays
jews collect money on saturdays
christians collect money on sundays
hindus and buddhists collect money everyday of the week
while the imams, mullahs, priests, ministers, monks and sadhus are getting richer their followers are getting poorer
why so?

The Roman Catholic Church is one of the wealthiest institutions in the world. Many religious organizations have vast resources they don't give to the poor. Individual "evangelists" live in palaces, like Benny Hinn's guarded mansion in Orlando and Peter Popoff's mansion with the walk-in vault full of gold. I've personally seen the wealth Paul and Jan Crouch surround thelselves with from the donations "for the Lord", and of course the Robertson's built there fortune with the 700 Club that they used to found the Family Channel and later sell it for almost 700 million, buying gold mines in Liberia and using "Operation Blessing" planes to fly in mining equipment, for thich the IRS cited them. Many thieves and robbers take advantage of the gullible.
Conversely I know many ministers, priests, monks and nuns, men and women serving poor communities, tiny rural congregations in the middle of nowhere, who work secular jobs to feed themselves, perhaps their families, as they get little or no economic gain from ministry and share what little they have with any who need it.
Some clerics are for real. Some are about power, money and influence. They are who they are in spite of their religion, not because of it I think, or there would be no frauds in ministry.

Muslims don't need riches as we r rich with the words of the koran.
Since I converted to Islam I have become a rich man because I have helped every man no matter what his faiths & for every dollar I have given I have received 20 in return.

The money goes to other things...I've talked with my Priest about that stuff, we're actually pretty good freinds and he told me that the money goes to charities mainly. None of it goes to him. Some goes to the church for renovation.

religion is a business. when you go to worship, your paying for a service or entertainment (or shall i say salvation). You can look at any way you want. Just like major companies have their charities so do the churches.

Religious people and their religions perform many acts of charity. Don't knock it! Do away with religions and find out what happens to your taxes!

well i think its juss a way that people do things.like some churches have bible study on wenesday,some have it in thursday.either way, i believe most of it goes to the church for lights rent church buses...ect.but juss askin why does it matter
