Yeah, what's the best way to cope? I like both of them, but I can't stand seeing them together. I've quietly distanced myself, on good-terms, but is there anything I can do to help myself heal? Being near them makes me either very depressed or very jealous....

Yeah, what's the best way to cope? I like both of them, but I can't stand seeing them together. I've quietly distanced myself, on good-terms, but is there anything I can do to help myself heal? Being near them makes me either very depressed or very jealous. I guess I should add more details. I confessed my feelings for her, she doesn't love me(she loves him...I heard them making out, but she insists they AREN'T together...and then implied earlier they are). We weren't going out before...we were just friends, except I've had feelings for her for a while. I'm painfully shy and extremely indecisive...

Wow. Sorry to put it so bleakly, but this is just an all around bad situation. I mean, I know I'm not delivering any news to you with that, but just saying there's not much you can do (as I see it) to make this any better. I think you're going the right way with 'quietly distancing yourself from them'. More than anything, so not to completely shut them out of your life, you don't have to so much accept it, but tolerate it in hopes that maybe things between them will change so that you can proceed. And I know it seems bad of me to suggest you 'hope they break up so you can get with her', but let's face it, that 'is' what you want right?

It really boils down to what do you want more? Would you rather have a friend that you know will be there with you through thick and thin, or would you rather have a girl that could possibly break your heart in the future, and then in the process of getting this girl lose your friend and be left alone with nothing. I myself would just stick it out, it's possible that they break up and you could have a chance, but i wouldn't ruin a realtionship with a good friend over a girl. And being that I am one has to mean something. Hope everything works out!

All I can say is if you truly love her tell her so. If they really are your friends they'll understand and shouldn't hate you for it. If she feels the same then great if not then make it clear that you aren't going to make any moves on her while they're together. Never let love slip away. Otherwise you just have to find someone else to obsess over. There's no easy way out.

Well, if you used to date her, shame on your friend for going out with her! but if you have only been friends and she has not idea that you love her, let her be happy with your friend. You want her to be happy don't you? You should not be angry unless one of them knew of your feelings beforehand. If they did, then, they aren't true friends. But, as you said, you like both of them so just take a deep breath and move on...there is someone else out there for u. Good luck.

Don't ruin a good friendship over a girl! You may want to talk to your guy friend and see how he feels first.

you don't love her
you have feelings for her
you have lust for her
but since you never acted on it out of ( shyness, fear ..ect.. )
he gets the girl
and you get the mad guilt trip
if anything you should be close as pals
and maybe next time
you'll act first

GREAT LOVE: It's when you shed tears yet you still care; it's when you're ignored yet you still long; it's when she begins to love another yet you still smile and say "I'm happy for you."
Maybe she wasn`t your true princess.
