Have you considered getting a perm? They can be used to make it curly or straight... of course, the chemicals can be kindda harsh on hair. If you're using heat to straighten, it may be safer... certainly less time-consuming! My hair is wavy auburn and goes down to just short of my waist. I've given up on straightening because I'm too lazy.

Go to a good salon and get some length taken off. Also have them thin it out so it won't take so long to dry. I'm guessing you either spend the 2 hours drying it or use a bottle of mousse every day to keep it curly and less frizzy. Not fun :)

Use some Pantene scrunching spray gel and spray it all over your hair. Then use a diffuser and blow dryer and scrunch your hair with it until it's dry. It takes about 10-15 minutes depending on the length and the thickness of your hair. It makes it so it's not frizzy, and the curls look really good.

you can consider the japanese ionic permanent straightening. it will make your hair super silkly smooth and shiny. But the down side are that it is expensive and you Will have roots. (straight ends and super curly roots) of course you can alway embrace what you have now. Just Diffuse (an attachment for your blow dryer) your hair after you wash it to maintain curl shape without frizz. Put serum or/and leave-in conditioner when it still wet.

Have you considered taking some of the length off so that you can manage it better? I WOULD NOT get it thinned, that could possibly make a mess of your hair and ruin it.

i have the same kind of hair...all you can really do is look at magazines, search the net for different ways of styling it. once you find something, try practicing and fixing it up. but for products try "John Freida" Stuff..it really works.

**hope it helps**

get a trim, like have it layered out then if your hair is really unmanageable you can get one of those professional hair straighteners like (Chi or SEDU) you can order it on line (folica.com) they are really really good .. I have really wavy & fizzy hair so I bought Sedu abt 2yrs ago and I love it..
