No fluke, the Buckeyes are much the better team. Texas will likely fall at least 2-3 spots in the polls I think. OSU could run the table in the regular season to go undefeted. I'd be surprised if they lost to any of their remaining opponents. Penn St., Iowa, and Michigan are the only remaining teams on the schedule who have a chance at all to beat this Buckeye team. OSU is no.1 and will likely remain there all year. The national championship game is another story we will have to wait for to see who the opponent is. OSU could stumble if they have injuries or suspensions, but without something like that happening, they look like the no.1 team in the USA.

Texas had a great team last year and returned a lot of starters. This boded well for this coming season. However, the few players we lost to the pros were huge. One quarterback in the pros and two cornerbacks in the pros. Those three in the pros left three gaping holes in our offense and defense. These three were replaced by inexperienced players. Our inexperience showed. Troy Smith was very impressive with his throws. They clearly were the better team. The way Texas played tonight they obviously were not a #2 team. I look for them to fall down to somewhere around 12th in the next poll.
I also believe that this season will be Gene Chizik's last season with Texas if a head coaching job opens up for him. Who knows, but if the Texas Aggies don't improve, they might try to grab him.
Anyway, he is probably the hottest prospect in the nation for a head coaching spot. As for this year, with our inexperienced team and questionable offensive play calling, Texas may have trouble with Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Texas Tech.

Ohio State was the better team, and they might be for the entire season. Texas started a QB who has one other start against N. Texas, I said before N. Texas isnt Ohio State. Texas was tested tonight and they broke down, its as simple as that. As the season progresses McCoy will get better at his reads, and his progressions. Same time Ohio States defense will just get better as the year wears on as well.

It was not a fluke, it is all real. Ohio State was clearly the better team, because Texas' QB is a freshman. Ohio State is the defination of the better team

I only watched part of the game but to me Ohio State was the better team of the evening. Last year Texas went into Ohio State and beat them so Ohio State had revenge on their minds this year.

im not an ohio state fan even though im from Ohio but I have to say that Ohio state did deserve to win, they came in with a strong will power and then ended up winning. Texas was pretty good but I have to say that Ohio state really knew how to play

Ohio State is simply amazing, in 2006 they have already beaten Texas and Notre Dame, and they were both blowouts! Who's gonna stop them? There on a roll!!

By far the better team. Texas is overrated this year, #2 ranking with a rookie QB? This will not be their only loss.
