If he is your boyfriend, then I think it shows disrespect. And why would he want you to be jealous or have doubt in your relationship unless he is insecure and wants to bring you down. However, if you guys are not boyfriend and girlfriend, then no reason to get mad. He is allowed to like who he likes, and the same goes for you.

If he doesn't know that you like him for more than just a friend then you need to tell him. Otherwise you are just one of the guys.
