♥♫♦ come on Christina K you should have a professional have a loOK at it and let you know if it will be ok because we can not see your hair so therefore we do not know if it is healthy or damaged. I hope that I have helped you.♥♫♦

So the perm will fade your color (if its artificial). Just expect that. And if your perm is grown out a lot then re perming it should damage the old permed spot but if its grown out a lot and the old perm is just at the ends then it shouldn't be that noticable. Also a perm is very damaging anyway but if you didnt have any problems with the first, then it should be about the same. Trust the person whos doing your perm completely, she has the ability to extremely damage your hair by over processing it, causing it to break by wrapping it wrong and even smelling horrible until it grows out by not washing the processing solution out completely.

Dyeing it a year ago should not be a problem.

Having old perm at the ends is probably not a big deal, but those parts will likely end up drier, and perhaps frizzier. If your hair is long enough to cut those parts off if need-be, I wouldnt worry about it.

I've home permed my hair several times - and its been fine, just buy a gentle one and watch the timer!

Good Luck.

I am a stylist and you should be fine to have it re-permed. I would just have your stylist cut off any dry hair after the perm.

everything exept for conditioneer greatly damaes your hair. try irons, which aren't as bad as perms and relaxers and chemicals. i remember when i was just about to get a relaxer when i desided not to. now im VERY happy i didnt cuz i dont really have as ugly hair as i thought i did, i like my hair now. btw, my hair is curly, and sometimes straight with an iron, like in my avatar.

your hair is already colored, (mine has some highlights :D) why mess it up more?

You should not reperm the part that still has perm on it.
