No, I toast marshmallows above my toaster. Hopefully you have an electric stove( I hear that the gas from gas stoves can produce carcinogens)...I don't think there is anything wrong with that unless you are talking about the marshmallows nutritional qualities....

No, it's not unhealthy, even if it is a gas stove. There are no fumes if the gas burner is lit, & so therefore it is safe to eat foods cooked over it, just as it would be to cook over a bonfire.

if you are using a gas stove then yes beacause it will let the fumes into the marshmallow. if it is not gas no worries

Ya know, I'm sure it's safer than the crap we used to burn in camp fires or charcoal.
