I was at a taping of the Oprah show and it was about this group called NAMBLA. It is a group that pedophiles are in. I want to know if there is any way to find out the names of men that have an affilliation with it because I want to see if anyone I know is in it. I think it stands for National Alliance of Man Boy love association and it is a completely legal organization. I want to know if it is public information who their members are if it is possible. I have a child and I want to protect him in every way I can. Thank you for your help, and thank you in advance for not being rude or crude when answering this question.

I don't think so. You could track news stories about NAMBLA and find some members that way, but you'd only find a few.
You might be better off checking registries of sex offenders, so you can find out which ones live in your area. I think that's more important than finding out the names of pedophiles who might be nowhere near you.

If you want to protect your child, insteadof going on a witchhunt, teach your child "good touch, bad touch",
teach your child how to say NO, and to be open with him or her in communication so that she can come to you if someone is harrassing her/him,and to tell an adult.
Learn the warning signs, watch your child, and remember, children learn the abuse by watching or having others do it to them, so dont forget, it could be another child or teen performing the abuse too. dont get too side=tracked that you forget to look close to you.

there group may be legal, there actions are NOT! what you can do is be a good p and teach your child that ppl dont touch them in there no no place and to tell you if somebody trys to no matter what they tell him

well, you don;t need a list of people who are in it. Simple common sense will protect your child from pedophiles. Keep your child away from scout leaders, priests, summer camp counselors, little league coaches or anyone else that is an adult that "enjoys the company of children". No healthy adult wants to be around an eleven year old boy that isnt theirs. Oh yeah, keep your kids out of day care. Also, watch out for single men over 30.
