my husband had 2 heart attack from taking diet pills. the night before he had the heart attack he just thought he had heart burn and took some tums. than he got real dizzy and stuff. he spent 5 days in the hospital and 50,000dollars later he is fine. The diet pills cost us about 50,500 dollars. So do you think its worth it. the pills killed 25% of my husbands heart , he was only 29 years old and a health guy with a little weight problem. so stop taking the pills

I have been on various diet pills for the last 30 years off and on and have never had those effects. I did have kind of a nauseated feeling with one, but it had green tea in it and I have never been able to tolerate tea on an empty stomach :| I wouldn't take any more of them. I'd rather be fat than feel like that.

They sure can.
They increase metabolism, and depending on the mix you use, can cause all sorts of problems including heart failure.
