She's dreaming. Perfectly normal.
Our dogs do that, too, and our collie will even 'woof' in his sleep. We think he's dreaming about herding sheep. :D

Perfectly normal! She is just dreaming!
Both my German Shepherds were dreaming at the same time one night! Woke my husband and I up! It was hilarious! We thought someone was trying to come into the house, but they were both grunting and groaning in their dreams!

I have a choc lab and he does the same thing. Lots of weird noises, jerking around and running. Perfectly normal behaviour.

She's just dreaming of chasing a cat or something. It's fine. If she starts going crazy and doesn't stop if you wake her up, call a vet.

yes, the twitching is synapses going off in the brain that are left over at the end of the day... Humans do it too.
