I hope the degree of liking him is not strong yet as it's time to move on to another guy. He's not very nice to tell the whole class and also, he has a girlfriend already.
But if you really, really want him. Initiate a conversation to know if he really suits you. It won't be easy. His girlfriend is going to have an impression of you..are you ready for it?

Why the games?
Talk with him.. Show you are interested..
That wont make you look desperate it will just let him know that you are available to pursue..
If he likes you back he will pick up on the clues and then you can have some company in bed!!
