Love is something that can't be proved. If they have to ask that then they don't know what love is. Its something that grows, it's sacrifice, doing for your partner things you would never do for another on a personal level. If you need to prove your love then there not worthy of your love!

I would tell them that if me just telling them that i loved them was not good enough then we shouldnt be together. U have nothing to prove if they cant take your word for it then they have serious issues. Trust is a major one. Trust is a vital part of a relationship. If you dont have this you dont have anything. Ask them why they think that you need to prove yourself. Again though i would think seriously about this issue as you have nothing to prove and your word should be enough to let the person know that yes you do love them

I'd say "What? You're blackmailing me?"
What are you going to need to do to prove it? And to what degree? And for how often? Are you going to keep loving this person thereafter?
You've already said yes. You will show it. Without being chained or shackled, like it's some kind of a test. And you will show it in a true and genuine fashion too!

You can't prove love. If someone is asking you to prove that you love them, then they are asking you to make some kind of sacrifice to impress them. That means they probably don't love you, so it's not worth it in the first place.

That is a very imature thing to say or is being said due to a lack of self esteem. We must trust the people we love and love is not something that needs to be proven. It can be shown and should be shown in the everyday little things that we just do for people we love.

The proof would be in how I treated you all the way up until the point you were so insecure/ignorant you had to ask me to prove it.

i would actually laugh out loud and tell them that they just said the most obnoxious thing ever and maybe i was too quick to say i loved them. love shouldn't come with strings like that. the person asking could just as easily prove THEIR love by not rushing them!

They are stupid to ask that. Love is shown through out day to day interactions, physically and verbally. Only if a certain situation occurs..such as if you need to choose to back them up on something, etc. is it THEN that you can prove your love. Turn it around and ask THEM to prove their love.

If they say prove it... ask them how and if they expect something crazy then you need to find a new love......it's not worth it
