When I was born in Utah 1974, there was a DNA blood test done with me and two men the one on my birth certifict is not my real birth father. The other man Henry Bowers is. Don't know exact spelling of his name only his sisters name is Mariann and that he had red hair and freckels. He was about my mothers age 53. University Hospital in Salt Lake city Utah said DNA test go to the state but don't have any other kind of info. What part of the state?

DNA testing started in 1985 at the University of Leicester. What you had done in 74 was a blood type test. (Type A, B, AB or O) which was avaliable in 74, and can be used to eliminate possable perantage. (If the child has type A, and the mother type O, then a father with type B can be eliminated, etc)

1974 there was no DNA test. There were some blood tests that could be done but all those were really able to prove was who was not your father possibly.
