I am no builder but a Skil saw, I understand, is an electric saw. From what I know about electric saws there would be no almost to it! A saw is fast and a finger thin...He's either over exaggerating or Bullsh*%$ing you! What would I say to that...better luck next time!

almost is better than the guy i worked with. he lost the first joint on 2 fingers. they get cold faster than the others. he cant hold on to things the way a 5 finger person does.

My daughter amputated her thumb when she was 2, she was standing on a brand new step stool when it collapsed on her thumb. They reattached it, because of how young she was it went incredibly smoothly and she regained complete feeling and movement in it. The only sign of it now is a small scar and her nail grows thinner on one side.
There isn't much to say other then to ask him how he is and to let him talk about it if he wants.

As long as they can fix it. He may have some permanent nerve damage. Guys seem to handle stuff like that well. My worst fear is losing a body part.

I say it's a good thing he didn't.

Fingers can be useful things to have.
