5) Patrick Henry - don't forget the rest of the quote: "For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here." ;)

Before I begin - your settings have changed so people cannot contact you. If you wish this to be this way, no problem, I just thought you should know that is why I can no longer reply to your messages - I am not ignoring you.

1) CBS (Actually started on their radio network)
2) LANSING
3) Sam Snead
4) Ed Sullivan CBS Feb 9, 1964 (See * below)
5) Patrick Henry (See ** below)
6) John Newton Mitchell
7) Camelot
8) Any positive integer which has only 1 and itself as positive integer divisors. [2,3,5,7,11,13,...) (see *** below)

(* The Parr "appearance" on NBC beat it by a month plus, so it IS the true answer to the way you asked the question. However, it was film, not live, so I understand what you mean - of course to have the Beatles actually there performing live made Sullivan's a "Really big shew, really big" and Parr's show a sideshow.)

(**Falsely attributed to Patrick Henry according to most sources, as this remark appears nowhere in any known writing or otherwise recorded utterance of his. If you can prove different, I'd love to hear it. Real source is apparently some anonymous internet e-mail trying to make the case this nation is rightly a Christian nation and Christian symbols and writings have a place in government here - a view I tend to agree with to some extent but not absolutely or to the exclusion of other religions necessarily.)

(*** Primes are INTEGERS only and by definition must be defined as INTEGERS, and not only that, POSITIVE INTEGERS and not only that, the definition must specify the divisors must be POSITIVE INTEGERS as well as any number such as 3 also has -3 and -1 among it's divisors so, if you fail to exclude negative integers/numbers in the definition, it falls apart.)

SO FAR I'M STILL THE ONLY ONE who has pointed out the fact Patrick Henry, though the quote is attributed to him, NEVER SAID IT.

I know how much you hate cut & pastes but HERE IS ONE ANYWAY from the last of the sources listed below, which I was compelled to include:

A famous "quotation" by Patrick Henry:
The first apparent forgery that we ran across was a famous sentence allegedly written by Patrick Henry:

"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ!"

An impressive statement. It certainly gives credence to the belief that the founders of America were all or predominately devout Christians. It is a popular quotation. A search for the phrase "this great nation was founded not by religionists" on www.google.com returned almost 1,000 hits! One common feature of most of the quotations is that they do not cite the source. We suspect that most webmasters have simply quoted the writings of other webmasters.

It turns out that Patrick Henry probably never said this. At least, nobody has been able to locate it in any of his surviving papers. It is almost certainly a forgery.
