Feeling angry is just a feeling. Finding people wheeling and dealing in the temple on the Sabbath was indeed not the worst things that ever happened to Jesus, but he got angry anyway, he even acted out his anger. I got angry at some human nasty behavior and spoke/wrote out my anger, not even physically acting it out... that seem to upset some greatly. Anger is just a harmless feeling unless we turn it into something else… turn it inwardly or outwardly… ya know.

I agree. While I was angry I managed to clean the whole house, scrub the floors, cook a nice dinner, and get tons of excersise. It all depends on how you act on the anger...if I had acted on that anger, many people would have been very, very hurt. But instead I did some good.

Finding people wheeling and dealing in the temple on the Sabbath was not the worst thing that happened to Jesus--IN YOUR OPINION. Jesus didn't get angry that day, as opposed to other days, because he was feeling a little weak or irritated. He got angry because people brought things that were explicitly of the world directly into his Father's house, where they did not belong, and which showed a profound disrespect for God the Father.

I don't know why you got angry or what you said, but anger is a normal human emotion. The thing with anger is that if you pay attention to it and find what is really making you angry, you can ask God for help in eradicating that character flaw. (Presuming it is self-righteous, not righteous, anger.)

Jesus exhibited righteous anger the day in the temple.

Righteous anger is rare. For one to have it, one must be clear of self-seeking motives, which can be obscured--like pride, for example.

I had told an oldtimer that If it was ok for the son of God to get angry and to trash that temple its ok for me who is just human to get angry. He took me on the side and said KID when you can raise the dead walk, on water, and turn water into whine, then it will be OK for you to get angry. Anger is a sin. We may be human and I might get angry till the day I die,but it is still a sin. I still need to try and not get angry. Progress not perfection we must always try to be better. I saw that oldtimer get angry too a week later a human like everyone else but he kept on trying and so will I. I hope. YOU are dead on about turning anger inward that is very unheathy. we need to vent . I think the trick is to find humor in everything when I dont take myself too serious I dont seem to get angry as much in the first place.
