He also has the personality of my dreams!!! He's smart- not like those stupid jocks ya see everywhere.
Do you think the age difference is too big? Or is it ok for us to date?

It is big at this point in your life. He is 17 and probably not going to be looking at a 13 year old for just a casual date. Find someone closer to your age and in a few years when you are older and if you still think he is worth it then go for it.

I don't think it's ok. The gap is fine if you both are at least over 20.I know a lot of people married with 10 year differences. But he's probably not looking for marriage or a serious relationship...he's after one thing, no matter how sweet he seems and you're way too young for that. Stay friends.

no its not okay because 17 comes before 18 and hes only a year away from 18 and your not even close my daughter is 13 and if she wants to date that fine but it has to be with a boy her age and you should feel the same talk with your mom and see how she feels im sure shell agree stay young as long as possible dont rush into boys trust me there nothing but trouble

nope. I'm a 17 yr old girl, and I know what guys my age in high school want. having been 13 once, i know what you and and what he wants are TOTALLY different. He doesn't "love" you and it aint perfection. he wants sex. end it before you get hurt. you're a baby.

If you have a huge crush on him, and you think he's the guy for you, the age difference shouldn't matter. I mean, my grandpa is like 7 years older than my grandma! If you two really love each other, you'd go out, no matter the age difference!

Don't do it because he is at the EXACT age where he will pressure you - and you are at the EXACT age where you will make a stupid decision and ruin your first time.
Better stick with someone your age or a year older, max (until you're 16 then the gap can grow). You think you're ready - but you're not!

He's too old for you and you're still too young to date. Find extracurricular activities to keep you busy until you reach a more mature level to date. You're worth waiting for, just remember that.
