Mental deficiencies are often the result (symptom) of a genetic problem, like Down's Syndrome. The cause of all the person's differences is the same, from the shape of their eyes to the proportion of their limbs, and their mental abilities.

Because of the changes that took place within the womb that caused them to become mentally challenged...these changes also cause them to have physical abnormalities like small hands and toes, webbed fingers, deep grooves in the space between the nose and upper lip, crooked jaws with high palate, etc.

their DNA ,genetic code sequence is messed up. they may be missing chromosomes that you need to look or be like everyone else that's why.
