To lay out the basics, I'm an eighteen-year-old female from the US. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to find a guy my age who I am attracted to. He can be the nicest guy, the funniest guy, anything. I just can't seem to get excited about them. What's worse is, the only men who catch my attention are at least 30 years old. And 30 is the low end of the spectrum. I'll find myself looking at my dad's friends, my friend's parents, men at the grocery store, some of my teachers, etc. It drives me nuts. Today I saw this man who was probably around 45, but my god he was sexy...muscular biceps with tattoos, cute smile...anyway, I guess my question is this. What can I do to find someone closer to my age that can still be appealing to me in the ways that older men are? I don't even know if there's an answer, but anyway....advice would be great!

I am 47 years old and do you know that a 17 year old girl taught me something that had long locked me out of love for 25 years. My son brought her home one day and we sat down and talked. Then I was astounded by her conversation and she told me something about myself I never knew.
I admire young ladies that are intelligent , but the young factor is a cross fire bweteen love and hate and defied wisdom for grown maturity that fails safe in the time of need.
It is easy to fall in love, but it is hard to live with a mistake.

Don't feel bad. I am 29 and there are days when people take me for 23 and days when people take me for much older which drives me crazy. But don't feel bad I get guys with white hair and old as my father and even 50s hitting on me and I look at my face and don't see hardly no wrinkles and I'm slim but not toned because at one time I was a very heavy kid and never was hard and toned even at 100 pounds. I don't know, it's like I draw a lot of old creeps and I almost throw up a few times when men around 70s hit on me. Like more than 30 years older then me and as it is I like younger men and I start to question how old I look and if I'm pretty, it's crazy.

Your problem may not be their attractiveness but their maturity. There are probably some mature older teen to twenties guys, so try getting around a little bit more before giving up on someone closer to your age.

Don't bother finding guys your own age as they are not matured enough and they are always fooling around more than into a relationship. Find someone who is at least 5 - 10 years older . You should find someone who is financially stable, kind, well mannered, age should not be barrier but not one that looks like your father.

I'm a middle-aged male who adores the attention of young women, and I don't think there's anything wrong with your being attracted to older men. We tend to be calmer, more romantic, we put our ladies on pedestles, we pamper and adore rather than take for granted. We have experience and gentility on our side. If older men are what you like, then go for it! I only wish I was one of them!!

OMG.I am kind of the same way.I just turned 18 and my fiance is 27.I feel as if the younger guys have nothing to offer me but good sex and I want more than that.
