Yeah he was my grandpa and he was in WWII---he didn't die in it though but he did die before I was born.

This is a great free site that works well. I have found all the way back to my great-great grand parents so far (in one day). All you will need is the basic info of his birth or death year and a little effort to look. Good luck.
