I am making a complete change of career. I have looked into various grants and scholarships but because I am not a high school senior and because I already have a bachelor's degree, I don't qualify for a lot of stuff out there. Why is this? If they think I should use my degree to put myself through classes, I can't. I would have to work away from the town where my school is, work 50 to 60 hours a week, and work during the time when the classes I need are scheduled.

Remember, I am talking grants and scholarships..The FAFSA I have already gotten but you have to pay that back and there is only enough to pay for tuition and a couple of books. I have to take a full 16-20 credits at once of science classes (thus I can't work). I am trying for vet school and they want to see that I can handle a tough load and still get A's.
I got nothing off Fast Web..a joke. I filled out numerous scholarship apps. and nothing

One of the best sources on the internet to look up scholarships is at Fastweb.com. It is regularly updated on a regular basis along with providing e-mail alerts of new scholarships being listed on their website. It allows a search by degree program, too. Best of all, it is free to register and utilize its service. I came across Brokescholar.com, but I do not have any personal experience with it. I do recommend keep on trying, but also examine their website before applying for the particular scholarship because graduate school scholarships tend to be even more competitive than undergraduate degree ones.

Fill out your FAFSA (www.fafsa.org) and once you have that work with your FA office to explore scholarship & grant options.
