to be in the ppresence of the Lord, and so as not to forsake the assembling of yourselves together. It is where I here the Word of God preached
Rom 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Fellowship & corporate worship.
OK, the kids get to go to Sunday School & Children's Church, so I get a 2 hour break once a week - Is that so wrong??!!
Seriously, where I live, I'm nearly the only person who doesn't smoke dope or have kids in OSS for fighting. Church is truely a breath of the Holy Spirit. I leave in a better mood & with an open heart.

I go to Church because it is like having your Spirit recharged for the week ahead...
During the week I am bombarded by evil things and it is a good rest at Church.. like walking into a warm house out of a fierce storm with the wind blowing and pouring cold rain.

I haven`t in a long time.I believe church is where the believers are.The word says where two or more are joined together there he is in the mist of them.So I`ll change that to I go every night right here. There are a lot who don`t believe here but there are many who do and this is a very big church. with a lot of different views.God is every where.

I know it seems like a waste of time. And when ppl you know drag you to church you are constantly looking at your watch to see when its over. While you are at a church service, its draining to you isnt it?
But for a believer, it is recharging him. Church is the manifestation of Heaven here on earth. Christians dont go there to be entertained or to think theyve appeased God for the week. We go because church is a place where we worship God, take communion, serve God, serve man, teach men, teach kids, and about 500 other things. Church life is crucial for carrying out our mission here on earth which is to save unbelievers, take care of believers, and exalt God!

I go to church for many reasons...
1) I am commanded to do so, by God
2) I get to experience God in the flesh, in the Eucharist
3) I get to learn, or re-learn, tenents of my faith
4) I experience a sense of community with all the people I see and know
5) I like my priest, and enjoy his sermons
there are many more...but this will do for now.

I don't go often. If I do, it's usually because I need to be around other Christians and for a social outlet. I read the Bible and get the info I need from there. I am a born-again Christian.

i go to church because i am so freakin thankful for what god has done for me (quite a bit...) so regardless of whether i feel like going or not, or how exciting the sermon may or may not be, i go out of respect for my creator and savior who chose me in so many ways. honest.

Hebrews 10:24, 25 - And let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, NOT FORSAKING THE GATHERING OF OURSELVES TOGETHER, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.
