It can seem that way and it's usually the nicer/attractive people that end up alone. People seem to like ugly assholes, so I guess it works out.

Not so much doomed, really. Life can still be good if you have a fulfilling social life (friends and family) and other interests (career, travel, etc.). We're not all cut out for long-term relationships. Still... you never really know when cupid's arrow might hit So always keep your heart open the possibility.

99% of humans are pair bonded. My theory is that the 1% of people fluctuates. I hope that no one never finds love. Love also comes from friends and family.

possible, but i dont consider that to be doomed...i dont care to find love, i dont mind being alone, i never have had the urge to be w/ anyone or love anyone in that way, but thats just me!

Yes--I am one of those people. In my late 30s and have never found it. I don't anticipate finding it anytime soon, either. Kind of pathetic actually.

Not necessarily true...love is a capture moment from beauty on sight, but later it developed in to emotional content.
Who is really to say the love doesn't conquer all.
