More details for "TheChinaDoll". Thats the point of this question - Michelle Wie really hasn't accomplished much either! She is like the Paris Hilton of golf - famous for being famous, but doesn't really do much!

Well, I must be the only one in the world who thinks it's great she's playing. Not because she's a girl, but she is a great talent. Can she beat guys? She already has. Although she's only made the cut in one men's tournament (in Japan I think) she has beaten guys in all but one men's event she has played. There's an argument she takes the place of some more deserving player. Not true. Fact is, every tournament has several sponsor exemptions to give to whomever they please. These spots many times go to local college hot shots. Bill Hurley of Naval Academy had six or seven last year alone. Fujikawa, Tadd of Hawaii is in this year's field as well. He's a local guy, Wie is local girl. So what? Professional baseball players like Johnny Bench, Mike Schmidt and others, as well as former Redskins QB Mark Rypian have played in PGA Tour events on sponsor's exemptions. Local club pros regularly have gotten them. So what's the big deal. She plays. She will draw fans. Everyone but a few will love having her in the field (heck, she is nice to look at). The real question is why so many people are afraid of her. As long as she doesn't embarass herself (she missed the cut in this event a couple years ago by 1 stroke, beating more than 50 men) what's the big deal. I watched her at US Open qualifying in New Jersey last year. Actually went to see a friend. There were 3000 fans there, and all but a handful were there to watch Wie, not the 100 other men who were trying to qualify for the Open. That was amazing. So, give her a break.

Count how many 'Nike' logos you can see in every picture of her. The record so far is 8 separate logos in the same shot. Shirt, pants, shoes, glove, hat, club, ball, bag, belt buckle.

4)- To clarify, she had someone else fire her caddy for her. (go look it up, they are classless family)

6) Other: Gets an allergy attack after an opening round 85 and quits. Parents stop by ATM and deposit Nike check on the way to the airport.

I think she can do better.after playing 6 pga events(correct me if im wrong), she must have stronger psyche and now knows how to manage her game against the boys. her failures in the past is due to her unfamiliarity with the golf courses she plays plus the pressure of being alongside men playing and i think she just puts pressure on herself, sometimes, to deliver the goods and forcing the issue. lets give her the credit though. i believe she can now do better. if she succeeds this time to make the cut, she must have learned matured emotionally and that will be a good sign. if she fails, its alright. she is just 16 and has a lot to learn yet but it should ancourage her and teach her how to manage her game better on the course. pete dye's lay-out is long though. i think she should approach the tournament one shot at a time to succeed.she just needs to kip the ball in play and not be forced to drive long. and she needs to put the ball on the green and putt well, too. overall, to win all parts of her game must be in topshape.that's my view, though.

I know you need to play against the best to get better...but golf is 80% mental. The mental game comes in confidence. I would hate to see her total talent never be realized because she gets discouraged.
