There are numerous accounts of people who died and came back to life, you should research as many cases you can, to find the similarities. Some people believe in reincarnation, other read the Quran and/or Bible to know what will happen when they die.

I am convinced there is life after death for one reason: Jesus Christ died and was placed in a tomb—and three days later came back to life.
Think about it a moment: What would it take to prove to us that there is life after death? The answer is clear: Someone would have to die, and then come back to life again. It wouldn't be enough for them to have a so-called "near-death" experience; their death would have to be real. And it wouldn't be enough for only one or two people to see them; it would require many witnesses.
But has this ever happened? Yes—when Jesus Christ rose from the grave! His death was real; hard-bitten Roman guards made sure He was dead before they took Him down from the cross. And His resurrection was real also, because hundreds saw Him during the next forty days. Paul, writing over 25 years later, noted that "he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living" (1 Corinthians 15:6).
How could this happen? It happened because Jesus Christ was not just another man. He was God's only Son, sent from heaven to save us from our sins. Only He could say, "I am the resurrection and the life. ... Whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:25-26). This can be your hope, by giving your life to Christ today.

Oh Boy! Epistemology! My favorite subject, or at least it was before I decided to get over it.
By your logic (or was it Socrates?) we can't know anything so no. But using the vernacular "know" I say "yes".
I have died and returned and had a so called "near death experience". I descended into hell, (which was actually a web of karma), I found composure and acceptance and ascended into heaven through a tunnel of light.
I became one mind with all of enlightened souls that have ever lived. Had access to any "knowledge" I wanted and felt complete bliss. I gained insight into the physics of reincarnation, realized that it wasn't my time, and returned a man of faith.

I suggest reading the bible. You think your alive right becuase you can see feel touch and be physical but really your body is just a outer casing for your soul. You were put on this earth to live your life holy or unholy the choice is yours. When you die you will be judge bu your works and how you lived your life. I suggest you seek out a good church you'll find what your looking for my freind.

First of all, Death is the ceasing of all functions of life. After breathing, heartbeat, and brain activity stop, the life-force gradually ceases to function in body cells. Death is the opposite of life. The following scriptures will help:
Where are the dead?
Gen. 3:19: “In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”
Eccl. 9:10: “All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol [“the grave,” KJ, Kx; “the world of the dead,” TEV], the place to which you are going.”
What is the condition of the dead?
Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”
Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts [“thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “all his thinking,” NE; “plans,” RS, NAB] do perish.”
John 11:11-14: “‘Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.’ . . . Jesus said to them outspokenly: ‘Lazarus has died.’” (Also Psalm 13:3)
Are the dead in any way able to help or to harm the living?
Eccl. 9:6: “Their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.”
Isa. 26:14: “They are dead; they will not live. Impotent in death, they will not rise up.”

I seriously thought about answering this question then I reconsidered because what I know is separate from what I think I know and I thought very hard and realized that I know nothing. Weird.

okay if you were being cheeky that kool-aid referance is pretty funny. . . and yeah - of course no one knows what happens when they die. No one knows exactly what happens when we live. LIfe is based on a few assumptions that we call "fact" but can't actually prove.
For example - we can say we know how a rainbow is made. But we don't know WHY it happens that way. We just take our assumptions and call it good.

The body decomposes into component nutrients for worms, insects and anything else that finds its way through the rotting wood of your buried casket. And that's about it.
That's why I'm gonna be cremated. Ain't no wormds gonna eat me.

I know what happens after death. They recycle your social security number and reissue it to someone living. Same goes for your phone number.

the only thing we KNOW is that we have this life, so we should all just enjoy it and do our best to make ours and everyone else's as good as possible.
then when we die, we find out what happens, I don't think there's any way it can really be bad.
