work out more often and you'll realize that you aren't as attracted to junk food as you once were. try not to make exercising a task or an appointment. Pretend your three years old at school and it's recess time! This little thought keeps me very motivated day after day through my workouts.
hope this helps.

I suggest you read Nancy Clark's book, Sports Nutrition Handbook. It is an excellent book to get you educated on good nutrition in general, and written in an entertaining way. it does have some specialized chapters on eating for different sports and exercise, too.
If you eat any of the Diet frozen meals, add a big serving of plain veggies with some butter spray. Those meals are a good start to developing a habit, but do not have enough food most of the time to satisfy.

Some of my favorites: 1. Almonds - nice and plain right out of the shell 2. Baby carrots - especially when dipped into home made hummus. Hummus is surprisingly easy to make and you can add whatever flavors you want to it. 3. Artificial crab meat salads/sandwiches 4. Tuna 5. Chicken breast strips 6. A cup of Smart Start cereal (just plain with no milk) 7. Peanut butter - sometimes I will crush/mix the cereal in with the peanut butter. also great on celery sticks

A good website to go to is Dottie's Weight loss zone. Her site is weight watcher diet based, but she has a section on restaurants and it gives the points value. Lower points mean low fat to no fat and low calories. She has a ton of information on her web site. I think you can go do www.dwlz.com or just type the name in the search - check it out, it is a neat site.
