I use fish fry. I like the Louisiana Fish Fry or Zatarains. Here's a suggestion: before using your cornmeal or fish fry, try seasoning with Old Bay seasoning or Mrs. Dash instead of salt and pepper or traditional seasoning salt. Its the best!

Both, I like to use 3 parts corn meal with 1 part flour and it better be yellow corn flour and yellow corn meal. Season fish first dip batter then milk then batter once again and deep fat fry at 375 until it rises. Take it from a Cajun Coonass

If I am going to fry , then I will take the liittle fillets or trout and egg
them and dip in Italian bread crumbs with a little flour mixed in
then fry up in olive oil. Olive oil is good for you. You only fry for
a short amount of time . I also like to bake fish.

Fish fry with beer and egg. I don't eat fried foods very often but I love a good fish fry once in a while.

All you health nuts need to relax. There are things such as fat that your body NEEDS. If you lack some fat in your diet your just making your body more open to different diseases and health risks and you don't build an immune system. This is why there are so many stupid meds out there that you really don't need. Eat well but eat wise. Proportions here people. EAT IN MODERATION!!!!
A little mixture of both for me especially on cat fish.
Also try a Cajun spice for fish & chiken that works very well & spicy too.
I remember when I was young if I cought a bunch of Blue Gills my grandma would mix a little flour with salt & pepper and fry them in a skillet using crisco oil. Mm those were good little buggers.

I never fry fish. Only bake, broil, grill, or microwave. Corn meal is great on fish.

I love to fry my fish with 75% cornmeal and 25% flour. I lightly flour my fish with Lawry's seasoning and I also add salt and pepper to the the cornmeal/flour mix. Then it's deep frying time.
