Well you can try to talk her into putting faith in you. Nothing wrong with that. Explain to her that you're not her ex and not to hold his mistakes against you. That's fine. Don't push too hard though. This is where you need to be delicate with the situation. People get burned. Burned hard. And it takes time to recover from it. It's ok if she's a little guarded right now. She will 'eventually' let you in more and more. Especially if you don't push too hard. Nothing makes a guarded person clam up more than someone trying to force their way in.

After getting out of a bad marriage where I was cheated on and emotioanlly put down I'll tell you it took me a long time to trust and I threw away a lot of guys I wish I hadn't. But the only thing you can do is earn her trust. Especially if she's constantly getting burned in relationships. Did her dad leave when she was little, has she been with a lot of untrustwrothy guys...ect... Sometimes it can take more. For me I sought counseling. Now don't go tell her to get her head shrunk that would probably get you in the dog house. But she has to realize for herself that not all guys are cheaters and abusers and scum. And you need to show her that you are one of the good guys, not by buying her flowers or telling her she's beautiful although that helps. But by saying things like how you know it will take time for her to be able to open up to you and that you'll be patient until she's ready. And then you need to stick by it and when she's ready open up to her in return. Communication is the key.

IF SHE IS THE ONE WHO CAME OUT OF THE UNTRUST WORTHY RELATIONSHIP THEN IT WILL TAKE AWHILE I KNOW BC I AM GOING THROUGH IT NOW NOT BEING ABLE TO TRUST PPL. JUST BE THERE FOR HER AND NEVER GIVE HER A REASON IT MAY TAKE A WHILE BUT SHE WILL COME AROUND TO SEE SHE CAN TRUST YOU.

There is nothing you can do.. If she has been burned bad enough, no matter how trustworhty your are, she will be suspicious. Only with time and healing will she get over it. That dear heart is up to her and there is nothing you can do to speed it along.

just be infinitely patient with her, always be sweet to her, always be supportive, don't give her any reason to distrust you, cuz she's probably got a lot of reasons prepackaged before you came along.
