Each of you will have your wish. Those of you who do not want to be with God will get their wish and those who seek to be with God will also get their wish if they seek Him. Those who are not at peace with God and think He is "drivel, fiction or not to be believed" will be out of His presence eternally. To me that is much worse than hell. To the Person who said that Death and Hell were cast into the Lake of Fire....the interpretation is unfortunate....Death and Hades(inhabitants of) were cast into the Lake of Fire which burneth forever, (Hades is Greek for present holding place of the dead). In another place it states cast into outer darkness...which ever is the case it is eternity outside the presence of God....no light, grace, love, company, communication, joy, peace or rest. You all bet a great deal on the question and your only hope can be that there is no God and that there is no Hell or righteous judgment....an unfortunate position to be in.

Actually it doesn't. It's mere assertion. For example, it dimisses the objection that infinite punishment is proportionally unjust, saying it is not proportionally unjust because the sin was against an eternal god. This is a consfusion of objects here. The sin is not eternal because who it pissed off is eternal. Let's humanize the example given. Your 2 year old takes a cookie you told them not to take. Because you are larger, stronger and have lived longer this justifies you popping the 2 year in the oven. It's not an asnwer to the objection. It's just the only sophistry the author can come up with.

Whoever wrote that information in that link is a bonehead, PLAIN FACT, THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH!!!!! Not eternal hellfire, there logic is flawed, All sinners have there place in the lake of fire, All liars, That puts Peter there for denying christ!!! Whosover denies me I will deny to my Father, ALL Adulterers, Too many to mention, All sin is the same, If youve Transgressed the least you,ve transgressed the most! We are all destined for correction by a loving Father!!! Faulty translations and hidden agendas made the bible as it is, Thats why some very great verses cant be messed with, Judge not lest ye be Judged. Seek and ye shall find, (if it was all plain and simple we wouldnt have to seek). Jesus went into the churches and called souls out of the churches. What makes you think its any different today?Faith is? Jesus had to come back and stand in front of his desciples to show that he was alive, and they still didnt believe until they touched his wounds, What makes you think you have as much faith as them and they walked with him and talked to him, Dont you think if he had to do that for Them he,s going to do what? for us, That never saw and only heard of him thru 1000s of year old writings?Tooooo many questions and not enough truthful seeking in the world, get a grip, seek in truth and hope!

Not one bit. Case and point the Gospel of Nicodemus infers that Jesus believes hell in not forever. The Gospel of Nicodemus is ommitted from the biblical translation., which lends to the many inconsistancies of the bible. Anyone seeking a definition of spirituality should look elsewhere, certainly not the bible.

I wouldnt get too comfortable in the conclusion that article makes. Punishment is described in many difderent ways throughout Scripture; fire and brimstone, darkness, crying and grinding your teeth, eternal death, etc. My personal belief is that a section of spirits will be annihilated.
Your punishment is going to fit the crime no doubt about it as your reward in Heaven will fit your deeds. The writers of the article are very foolish in that they attempts to use human philosophy to determine what God would or wouldnt do. If you hadnt already read it, would someone conclude that God would NEVER order the death of women, children, and infants..............but he did. God seldom fits the liberal politically correct view of how we wish him to be.

I don't believe that Hell will be eternal for all sinners, just those who have known Jesus and the Holy Spirit and then turn away from them and denied them.

Hell is not Eternal. but thats not like it is a good thing, the Bible says that Death and Hell will be cast into the lake of Fire, so those that go to hell and all of its fury will go from the frying pan into the fire, so to speak as they will be cast alive into a literal burning eternal fire!
God have mercy on us all, sweet jesus save us from our sins, and this awful place!

And yet the Bible argues everything you just said (and what this site says).
Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him [God] which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” The Bible says that souls can be destroyed! According to this verse, they can be destroyed as much as bodies can. We all recognize that bodies eventually die and that, when they do, they naturally decompose and are completely “destroyed” due to the process of natural corruption. Any undertaker recognizes this. This verse introduces the understanding that God does the destroying of souls in hell! Bodies can die and be destroyed in many different ways. However, souls are destroyed in hell by God
Now consider Psalm 115:17: “The dead praise not the Lord, neither any that go down into silence.” Death involves “silence.” This certainly does not square with any of the popular concepts of millions of the dead wailing and screaming in agony. Such a scene could never be described as silence! And, if many of the dead go to heaven, why are they not praising God?
Psalm 6:5 further explains that the dead do not experience conscious memory: “For in death there is no remembrance of You: in the grave who shall give You thanks?” Could anyone seriously suggest that the dead, suffering in hell, could experience the normal range of human memories but not be cognizant of God—not remember Him? Would God put people in “hell” and then leave them there suffering, forever wondering how they had gotten there and who had put them there—because they have “no remembrance” of anything related to God?
A God of mercy and compassion could never torture anything or anyone—let alone do it for all eternity. Carefully consider these verses:
Psalm 104:35: “Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more.” Simply take this verse for exactly what it says, adding nothing to it. It is consistent with all that we have seen so far about the fate of the wicked. The next series of verses is stronger.
Psalm 37:9-12, 20, 22, 29: “For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yes, you shall diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes upon him with his teeth…But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away…For such as be blessed of Him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of Him shall be cut off…The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.” There is no confusing this description of the fate of the wicked. Also, note that the meek do not inherit heaven but rather inherit the earth. Christ quoted this same verse when describing the inheritance that true Christians will receive (Matt. 5:5).
“For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in His wings; and you shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, says the Lord of hosts” (Mal. 4:1-3). Anyone who walks through a fire of any size, that has burned itself out, understands that there would be ashes under their feet! This is the fate of the wicked.

Well, that makes clear that at least someone beliefs in sin. That is okay though. God is quite obliging. If one must have God punish her or him then God will do that. I am happy that I do not believe in sin or mistakes and have no need for my God to punish me. My God and me like that.

Hell is real, Jesus talks more about it than about heaven. He does not want anyone to go to hell...but if they end up in hell, that is their own choice. Eternity is a long time.
