thanks to melanin. melanin protects your skin from harmful sun ray. melanin also the pigments that colored your skin. the darker your skin are, the more melanin you have, the more protected you are from the harmful sun ray!

They have more melatonin in the skin, to naturally protect it from the sun. The closer people are to the equator, the darker their skin becomes.

They have more pigment in their skin giving the impression of being less susceptible to burns/tan. However, any black person will tell you - they do tan/burn too. Just not as quickly.

actually black skin is damaged far more quicker than white skin....

same thing with cars...lighter colored cars don't oxidize as fast as darker ones.

the darker the pigmentation, the quicker the burn.
