what would you do if your gf at the time left you stranded out of town on the day you buried your grandmother after the funeral and broke up with you and never came back at all for her stuff etc

Set her stuff out and move on. It is not worth lingering over. She didn't give you a second thought so you shouldn't waste your time on her. What she did was rotten. She doesn't deserve a second more of your time.

That shocked me and I always thought I was unshockable. Personally I would take a full page ad out in the paper and let everyone know what type of person she really is, but then that's me. Send her a registered letter informing her to pick up her stuff by a certain date and time and if she does not, Good Will or the Salvation Army will gladly take it off your hands. Good riddance to bad rubbish, because she sounds like a selfish brat. Hang in there someone 100 times better that her is just around the corner.

Throw out all of her stuff and move on with your life. She isn't a human being. A person who treats another person like that is a disgrace. It may hurt for a while, but you are better off without her. I'm sorry for your loss.

i would simply return her stuff to her at her place and say nothing to her if she approaches you just say no need to explain i mean i know you probaly love her but if thats how she is going to treat you you dont need to be with her, and you just take some time off and figure out where to go from there.
