I've always used this saying:

If, no one ever told ya' how old ya' were...How old would ya' be???

Being almost 50, OMG!!!...I believe sticking w/to that saying, I've managed never really to see myself as this old!!! Add facts, as a geriatrics RN, I deal w/seniors, some over 100 years old...I try to still stay as hip, and active as possible, WITHOUT acting, or dressing too inmature, for my mature age!!! Age is only a number!!!

To quote Bono/U2: "Its only rock 'n roll if ya' burnt out at 40"!!!

Like most I'll say early to mid twenties even though I'm not quite there yet. That's not really why I answered this. I don't think 'anyone' can think up an age they'd like to stay forever as most people, as I'm sure you've noticed if you stop and think about it, most people always want to be a different age then they are. When you're younger, you want to be older. When you're older you want to be younger. Even if by 'older' we're talking about twenties wishing you could go back to the 'simpler time in life' of grade school or when you're in said grade school, we're not old enough to buy beer and what not and always wishing we were 21. Or someone wishing they were 'old' enough to just retire and do nothing. Doesn't seem that anyone's really content with their current age and wishes it would be different, so I think staying at any one certain age would be more of a curse than a blessing. For most.

17 .... best year ever. I was old enough to have responsibilities and young enough to not have too many.

I could drive and come and go as I pleased. I had dinner cooked for me every night. Money when I spent all of mine on things I didnt need. And a nice bedroom and utilities that I didnt even bother to pay for.

And the most importantly my younger sis and bro thought I was so cool.

I am 22, done with college, and married. They think Im already an old hag now. Funny how time changes things.

I'd say that 30 is about the perfect age. By age 30, chances are you already experienced quite a bit in life and hopefully much wiser than you were as a teen. So many things can still do at that age.....your options are endless!

I'll probably have to agree with gr33n_3y3d_grrl (Tanya) and say about 27 or 20. Still young enuff to feign ignorance, boundless energy, but still had enough money to spend, unlike when I was 18 or 21, when basicallhy I was broke.

If i could stay one age for the rest of my life it would be 22 yrs old, because i would still be old enough to still do anything i want, but i would still be young.

18. 18 your legal; your not yet old or young. The best time of your life. You could act like a kid or fool around but still you'll could get over it because your to young. You could act like mature because your an adult already. plus you have all the energy an 18yr person has!

22, I think. I feel like I still am deep down anyway, most of the time, and that the rest of me just didn't get the memo to stay that age.
