Do you ever want to respond to a nasty question, begin answering it, and then change your mind and exit out of your response because you know it would not be Christ-like to respond in such a way and because you know that people are scrutinizing your words and actions as a Christian.

Happens to me a lot. I'm naturally a smart aleck, and there are times when I want to verbally b*tch slap someone right out the chat room door.

Usually, I manage to hit the Back button on the browser before I post a smart aleck or nasty reply. It's not a very good witness, and I don't want to be the reason that someone rejects Christ.

I have blown it a couple of times, though, and hit the Submit button. I always feel bad afterwards, though.

I always respond to nasty questions with loving and compasionate answers. People only attack what they do not understand. Even on the street when I meet someone who attacks christianity I use that as an opportunity to have an open discussion about it. I do not make it my business to tell them that they are wrong or crazy or misguided. I take a moment to gain understanding of why it is that they think the way that they do. Then I share with them what the bible says about that particular situation.

Granted some people are determined to cause trouble but many people really want answers and they want to be heard. That is how Jesus won the lost. Church people called him every kind drunk and alcoholic because he would hang out in the bars and clubs listening to what people had to say about organized religion.

Yes. Another reason I sometimes stop answering a question is because the answer would be too complicated to try to explain and I feel like I'm not getting the words right. Some things just can't be answered in a few words and I know some people don't like the long answers. Also, you're probably not going to persuade someone to turn to God on Yahoo Answers! Either they believe or they don't!!

Yes. I sometimes give in to the temptation to respond in kind to attacks against us, or to obscene comments, or otherwise offensive posts. Most often I catch myself before I hit the submit button, but not always

If every person has any doubts of prayers being responded, they might desire to examine the e book The Hiding place via Corrie ten boost. Its a real tale, and a superb e book. it relatively is set around the time of the Holocaust, and Corrie gets arrested for hiding Jewish human beings. in case you do no longer have confidence in Prayer after reading that e book....properly youve have been given to be merely obdurate. Prayer is the main suitable thank you to get to be attentive to God and his "Mysterious techniques" better. (If somebody does not sense like reading the entire e book, you could desire to easily examine financial disaster 13 titled "Ravensbruck" pages 176-192. in spite of the indisputable fact that the entire e book is stuffed with responded prayer, in spite of the indisputable fact that no longer continually responded sure.)

Good question.
Most of us get carried away because the holy spirit of Jesus Christ fills us and makes us want to share the good news.
The spiritually blind do not understand this, but Jesus would like to heal the spiritual blindness of all who would accept the free gift.

I do it all the time and I'm not a christian. I just don't see any point in becoming part of the negativity.
