Hello friend,
You are in my favorite Book!
And yes, like yourself, I also have wondered about this very thing. But I tend to take it farther. Consider this; Lucifer is not the ruler of the morning star, but rather he was called "star of the morning, son of the dawn" in Isaiah 14:12 (NASB). And the same passage in (KJV) reads "Lucifer, son of the morning".
So in the Heavens, long before man's fall, Lucifer, in his pride, sinned against God and as you pointed out was removed from God's Heaven.
Depending on the version of the Bible, Satan is not actually called the "Prince of Darkness" in scripture. He is called the "Prince of the power of the air" in Eph. 2:2
But make no mistake, he IS the Prince of Darkness and does his
evil work night and day.
His main goal is twofold,
First, he wants to prevent everyone he can from believing in and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Second, if you already have accepted Jesus, he wants to destroy your witness for Christ.
But now, did you know that in Revelation 2:28 one of the things the overcomers would receive is the "Morning Star"? And just so we don't get too high minded, we're told exactly about the "morning star" in Rev. 22:16. How great is that?
Sorry for the tangent friend, but Revelation just gets me going, and I would love to tell you so much more stuff God has shown me, but maybe in another question.
Keep studying friend and dig out those golden nuggets of spiritual truth! May God richly bless you!
Until He Comes,
2 Tim. 2:7

Yes I have thought about it. If 1/3 of the angels were thrown out of heaven with lucifer, then that means that 2/3 of the angels are left on the good side!! Rejoice,it is 2 to 1 against satan and his angels!!

Satan and Lucifer are not the same thing. Lucifer was originally a Latin word meaning "light-bearer" (from lux, "light", and ferre, "to bear, bring"), a Roman astrological term for the "Morning Star", the planet Venus. The word Lucifer was the direct translation of the Greek eosphorus ("dawn-bearer"; cf. Greek phosphorus, "light-bearer") used by Jerome in the Vulgate. In that passage, Isaiah 14:12, it referred to one of the popular honorific titles of a Babylonian king; however, later interpretations of the text, and the influence of embellishments in works such as Dante's The Divine Comedy and Milton's Paradise Lost, led to the common idea in Christian mythology and folklore that Lucifer was a poetic appellation of Satan.
EOSPHOROS was the greek star god of the astron planetos (wandering star) Aphrodision, i.e. the Planet Venus.
Translation:
Eôsphoros is dawn Dawn Bringer, also Phosphorus Light Bringer
(phôs, phoros)
Hesperos - evening (hesperos)
Vesperus
Vesper
Evening
He was known as Eosphoros (the Dawn Bringer) , being the last star to shining in the dawn sky, and as Hesperos (of the Evening) as the first to appear in the evening.
In Greek vase-painting Eosphoros was depicted as a youthful face, shining in the heavens, or as a winged god with a starry oreale encircling his head.

Lucifer isn't "ruler of the morning star." Lucifer means "bearer of light" in Latin, and he was a Roman god, the personification of Venus appearing on the horizon at dawn.

Wow. That's deep.
And totally unrelated to anything, but thanks for trying.
Also, Satan & Lucifer are NOT the same person. There was a king of Babylon whose name meant "morning star" and who was "cast down", and some idiot translator used the Latin word for morning star (Lucifer) and decided it was another word for Satan.

another interesting knick knack for u... muslims are not advised to pray between 2.30-5 am as the heavens are furthest from earth at that time - and darkness rules at that time...
interstingly enough that is 1/3 of the day time that people sleep and its also the time that majority of suicides around the world occur.

Sure. Night is when cockroaches come out, and rats, and vermin, night is when most crimes take place, and dark colors like black, or dark grey, are associated with the occult and evil.
Satan controls them all.
For everything good, there is evil. Here is something else to think about. Evil is Live spelled backwards. Evil is associated with satan, but you Live in God.

Satan is not the Prince of Darkness in the realistic sense. It is meant to be taken metaphorically, meaning he is the prince of everything evil. does this answer your question? I wasn't sure what you meant...
