We have tried chemo, but the liver and kidneys shut down, so we were forced to stop. We are now at a hospital in Mexico that encourages a strict alkalaine diet to help combat the growth of cancer. We are set to return home in 3 weeks.

You have a good start with the diet, ozone therapy is also very effective to people that chemo has hurt. It can cure cancer by itself even if the immune system is shot. For more information on that and other treatment check out the site below. My wife has stage 4 lymphoma and is making a miraculous recovery.

You seemed to be in the grip of the treatement procedures for Melanoma Cancer. I am little worried from what you have stated and it is in Stage 4. You are right for this a strict alkalian diet is suggested and it helps a lot apart from medications and theraphies given by doctor. The Diet condition will defenetely give improvement. Please Continue.

Any way you should be aware of the disease and I like to explain it as I am in Medical Line:

Melanoma is a disease of the skin in which cancerous cells develop in the melanocytes, the cells that produce color in the skin. Melanoma is sometimes called cutaneous melanoma or malignant melanoma.

Melanoma is not the only type of skin cancer, but it is the most serious type. The top layer of the skin (the epidermis) contains three types of cells that can become cancerous: basal cells, squamous cells, and melanocytes. Basal cell cancer and squamous cell cancer, both of which are called nonmelanoma skin cancers, are much more common than melanoma. Melanoma, which starts in the melanocytes, is less common but more serious and difficult to treat than the other two types.

Melanoma usually occurs in adults, but it may occasionally be found in children and adolescents. The cancer usually develops in an existing mole or as a new mole on the skin. Men most often get melanoma on the trunk (the area of the body between the shoulders and hips) or on the head or neck, and women most often get melanoma on the arms and legs. In rare cases, it can develop in parts of the body not covered by the skin, such as the eyes, mouth, large intestine, or vagina.

Melanoma is curable if it is found early. However, unlike other forms of skin cancer, it can spread very quickly to other parts of the body through the blood or the lymph system. As a result, it accounts for nearly 79 percent of skin cancer deaths, even though it comprises only 4 percent of skin cancer cases. The number of new cases of melanoma is increasing in the United States. The American Cancer Society estimated that 47,700 would be diagnosed in the year 2000.

Best of Luck

My naturopath told me that cancer cells can only thrive in an acidic environment, so please stick with the alkaline diet. I would also strongly suggest that you seek the services of a homeopath that is knowledgeable in the "plussing" method. Below is an excerpt from ABC Homeopathy's site about the book I have that describes the method:

Dr. Ramakrishnan's long-awaited book, A Homeopathic Approach to Cancer, is now available. The book contains over 100 cases as well as details of his prescribing method and was co-authored by Catherine R. Coulter.

The book describes in detail the protocol he recommends so patients and practitioners alike can benefit. There are also statistical charts documenting the sauces rates with many types of cancer.

This book can be purchased at:

If you don't know a homeopath, you can find one near you by going to www.homeopathy.org. They have them listed by state on their web site.

My homeopath's husband was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. That's how she became interested in homeopathy. He is still alive and still has his thyroid. He did not undergo any allopathic treatments.

Best of luck to you.

In Houston, Texas where one of the very best cancer hospitals in the WORLD is, M D Anderson Cancer Center, they have what is called 'Proton Therapy'. It fine tunes and focuses radiation ONLY to the precise point of the cancer.

I do not know if it is used for melanoma, but if I had any kind of cancer at all, I'd go to MD Anderson. If nothing else worked elsewhere in the world for any type of cancer, I'd go to MD Anderson.

I had a friend who had Stage 4 colon, rectal, and bladder cancer, and would have died had he not gone to MD Anderson in Houston.... So, yes, I am biased. They saved his life there.

He was on a type of Chemo that did not make him sick, and he also had radiation. He had a really tough cancer, but they managed to beat it. He has no bladder now, but he has his life!

By all means, at least pay MD Anderson a visit.

there is a trial treatment that is not radiation or chemo in Bethesda, Maryland. The doctor has had success treating stage IV melanoma with a virus. I know it sounds strange, but the study was published in a Journal of Medicine.

Good luck!

I suggest you read How to Prevent and Treat Cancer with Natural Medicine by Michael Murray, and Beating Cancer With Nutrition by Patrick Quillen for a lot of good discussion, info, and suggestions of the kind you may be seeking. Lots of resources, traditional and alternative, are listed in these books.

My father was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in September of 2002. Through a strict vegetarian alkaline diet, Black salve and black tea, colon therapy and selective surgery, he has completely recovered and there is no trace of the cancerous cells.

We used several holistic techniques to assist his recovery and to help balance his life. One of the most powerful is an emotional clearing and healing method known as The Journey. When used with the holistic teas, diet and lots of anti-stress practices, my father was able to recover completely when Western Medicine gave him a 50% chance of recovery.

I would be happy to refer more information if you are willing, email me and I will send your questions to my mother who can provide much more detailed information than I.
