Yes, depending on the amount of fruit you eat. If you eat more calories than you burn, you will gain weight. This is true of any food. On Health Discovery Channel they had a man that ate about 40 oranges a day and did not understand why he was fat. That said, fruit is still a better choice than junk food.

Eating too much of anything can cause you to gain weight, but the good news about fruit is that it is low in fat and calories and you can eat a lot of it before it is considered to be "too much". Also, the sheer amount of fibre in it will cause you to feel full much sooner than many other foods, so the chances of actually being able to overeat it is slim.

Yes it can... But it will take eating ALOT of fruits and vegetables in a day and then doing next to nothing to burn any of the calories off.
Fruits and vegetables is the best food for you nutritionally. They are just high in carbohydrates (energy) and it must be burned off or the calories will add up and result in weight gain.

YES, fruit contains sugar and sugar can make u put on weight if u eat too much of it. If u like fruit and feel confident eating it try more of these fruits because they have a lower sugar content:
Strawberries
Rockmelon and Watermelon
Fruits like banana and grapes - dont eat so many of them. Bananas have a high calorie intake and grapes are loaded with sugar.

Calories is calories. Anything you eat has calories. Eat too much of anything, you gain weight. BUT fruits help you eat less because you will fell less hungry.

The caloric value is what matters... it is simple math.. but, the good news is that the fiber content in fruits helps your digestive system a lot, so it is better to get 100 calories from an apple, than 100 calories from cheese (fat)...

depends what kind of fruit the best food to eat a lot would be tomato-that helps u loose weight........ other veg. like broccoli and mushrooms dont make u fat no matter how much u eat them they are very healthy and wont make u sick. good luck:)
