No. Drinking water is great for you. Adding lemon juice just adds some flavour to it but doesn't do much to helping weight loss.

Adding a slice of lemon to your water will not add a significant amount of calories at all. The juice from one whole lemon is about 12 calories and if it makes the water more palatable, encouraging you to drink more then it's a benefit.

Supposedly citrus fruit speeds up the metabolism. I haven't heard anything bad about it, generally when it comes to a healthy diet lemons and lemon juice are promoted.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

It could. Sometimes weight is as a result of toxins and impurities in the body. Lemon juice cleans out the system. Hoiwever; unless it is a result of impurities being stored then the answer is no.

Lemon juice is a diuretic, so with the first glass of water with lemon you will pee allot.

After the first glass, it doesn't do much for weight but it is very healthy.

Although lemon seems to be very acidy it actually can help with heartburn.

you will gain weight because water does not have calories while lemon juice does and when you put in the lemon juice then you are just drinking calories

As a pharmacist I can say that there is no active ingredient in the concoction you mentioned. However, if you substitute that drink for an unhealthy one like soda, then your daily caloric intake will decrease, and you can absolutely lose weight. That simple change in your diet alone will make a significant difference. Congratulations and Good luck!

No it does not. Lemons are acid....acid can't help you loose weight. Plus the acid can eat the enamel off your teeth. But lemon water cleans out you lungs. Just diet correctly...by eating the food group, and increase your exercise and water in take.
