I'm sorry to have to admit to this as I feel everyone has a right to live where they choose, however Australia has a policy where only those who can prove that they are productive can move there, I strongly feel that the UK should adopt the same policy, It seems to me, in Glasgow anyway, that we are becoming over run by people from all over and they seem to get all the benefits the country has to offer while my mum, who has had 7 heart attacks and osteo-arthritis, has to appeal repeatedly for the benefits that she has paid into all her life, while these immigrants get it handed to them on a plate.
It really is getting me quite annoyed just typing this and I hate myself for feeling this way but enough is enough, we have to draw the line somewhere.
Australia sent out the navy when the immigrants arrived and basically told them to F off, Biggup the Ozzies, wish the UK had the balls to do that.
So, thats my rant over and I feel better for sharing my views on this matter.
Have a nice day, I'll try to be more accepting in the future.

No. You don't get asylum seeker status by saying 'oh, i've been thru some bad stuff' - it's a very strict checklist of criteria, and very few nationalities can claim it at all. I'm not going to say absolutely nobody has figured out a way of fooling the system, but it'd be extraordinarily difficult to do, you need all kinds of supporting evidence. The bigger problem is that your average member of the public has no idea what an asylum seeker actually is vs other immigrant categories, nor are they familiar with any of the legislation.

Heres the deal
If you come on asylum seeker status you most likely to get your stay and then british citizenship
Most asylum seekers are illiterate before the 90's asylum seekers were educated political refugees but now they are mostly illiterate people f rom villages towns most of them not only cant speak english but didnt even go to school in the country they came from. How did they get here ? You ask
Well they have relatives that tell them, most of them have seriously expanded families and can get the money to come here through relatives
Next thing is this.....a lot of asylum seekers are infact quite well off...what they do with their 5-6 bedroom houses in their countries are to rent them out in dollars to expatriates who have gone to save their countries. Then they come to england with the houseboy/servants stories of horrendous activities and pretend it happened to them, then they get their council house and dole money get a little part time job and send money home or save it and go back rent a hotel room check on their 6 bedroom house make sure its all cool and come back. Some even come here and retire.
SO i know this bcs i know lots of asylum seekers. Know this ...they laugh in the face of England and think the ENglish are suckers for a sob story and they think english are pathetic and wallow in self guilt for conquering the world under Great Britain. So now they feel like oh your sorry for me, ill make sure your really sorry for me while i take the piss.
everything i tell you is true.....and i dont even know the half of it. Since UK doesnt want any doctors or lawyers or architects or nigerians coming to their country so everyone else comes through on asylum
Its that simple

Mot all are. The government shouls screen them as soon as possible. Its no point taking 3 years to go through there case, and then trying to deport them. After three years, they may not want to leave as they have already settled in the UK. If the Government screen them and did what they had to do in a matter of days or weeks, even if they were told to leave for being bogus, they wont have already settles, and therefore wouldn't mind leaving.

I do not know, I believe real asylum seekers got no cash or power to leave the country and those who land in Europe are guys looking for a better quality of life. Most of them may be hard workers..I'm not sure!

Yup. Just ask one a question about liberty, the Constitution, or heck even the law - don't know, don't care, just want to loot, pillage, and leave. They see nothing wrong with this. Just like the people who seek illegal labor see nothing wrong with weakening and destroying the resources and living in this country. They are all too ignorant hateful and dumb to appreciate what they are destroying. Support Hazelton, PA.

No. I know people who have claimed asylum in the U.S, and all of them were in danger of being persecuted by their government. My parents asked for asylum, and they were in danger as well. They are not illegal because they went through a legalization process. It's not as simple as entering the country and being sent off into the work field. In the early 90s at least, people were sent to prison cells and waited. They were fed crap (essentially) and had to plead their case.
