Yes. A few suggestions:
- Spray what he / she chews on (that you don't want him to chew on) with some Grannik's bitter apple.
- If you think your dog is about to, distract them with a toy that you don't mind them shedding to pieces.
- Give them a harsh NO when they start to chew on things you don't want them to chew on.
-Try my $1 correction tool. Get a can of coke (or any soda), drink the soda (yummy!) rince it out with hot water and let it dry. When it's 100% dry, throw in about 10-15 pennies and tape up the open end (duct tape works great!). When the dog begins to chew, shake the can or toss it so it lands near the dog, the sound with startle the dog and it will star tto associate chewing on that with the sound and it may stop

if he's still a young dog its just their nature to chew. If it's an older dog they usually want attention. Try some raw hide chew bones you can find the at the dollar stores for about $2.00 a piece. That usually satisfies them for a while.

its a puppy thing, they do grow out of it with proper redirecting.
Puppies learn to explore their world with their mouth. They also love the sensation of chewing because it relieves discomfort from teething.
Every time your puppy starts to chew on something, try distracting him/her with a better thing to chew, and praise them when they make the right choice.
Also, you can use bitter apple spray for things of value (just be sure it won't discolor) . I know of a person that used to spray the furniture with pepper spray, but thats not very nice. Effective, but not nice. I'd say go for the bitter apple spray and some good dog chews like piggy ears.

If it is a puppy then it is doing it because he is teething. Its also aninstinct and usually they get out of it they bite other dogs and are bitten back. However if it is a dog then you haven't taught it "NO". The thing is it takes months to get them out of the habit if it's a dog. Just use a firm voice and stand up tall and say NO! It'll start to understand

Get him a Kong type toy and fill it with peanut butter. It's healthy, and hours of fun. If he's just a pup, it's just because of the teething thing, and this too will pass..............God Bless!
