Instead of paying this cost, wouldn't it be better just to grant them amnesty so they would start paying their fair share of taxes?

No, but I have a plan, we arrest and put in jail anybody that is caught hiring them, we put them in jail for a long time. We fine the company that has illegal workers enough so it is not worth it to hire them at sub standard wages. We should never reward people for breaking the law, I have no problem with people that immigrate here legally but if you cross the border without proper documentation you should never be allowed to find work here.

Illegal alien workers may increase profits for employers, but they are costly to the American taxpayer. Most illegal aliens have low educational attainment, few skills, and they work for low wages, often in the underground economy where they pay no taxes on their earnings. Since about three million illegal aliens gained legal status in the amnesty of 1986, the flow of illegal immigration has increased, and today that population is estimated at 9-11 million illegal alien residents in the country. The former Immigration and Naturalization Service estimated that the illegal alien population was increasing by about a million aliens per year

Americans should demand that Congress and the administration work together to establish control over our borders and the interior of the country so that we have the assurance that aliens, whether immigrants or visitors, are legally present in the country. That objective is of vital importance for the sake of national security as well as for the impact on our tax bills.

No it would not be better to give them amnesty. I had to go to jail over what I did and I see no dif in them breaking the law then me breaking the law. They need to go to jail for what ever time the law would give me for tax evasion and then be deported.

And there are over 31 million mexicans in the USA last count I read. Maybe only 12 million are known to be ellegals but I'm sure it is more then that. And why are we allowing 31 million anyway? That is way too many. How did they get a visa? No other country can do that.

If we would just inforce our laws that crap would end. Once the Mexicans learn that if they come here they get beat and put in jail for 10 years then sent back I'm sure they are smart enough to understand it is not worth it.

Nope, 500$ a head. Far cheaper than 50,000 a year per head if they stay. And in terms of resources – land food electricity gas water, the cost of any population growth is ridiculous. The average human will reproduce so every person coming in (legally or otherwise) if they have 2+ kids = 4 more people at least. Now if they have more than 2, or in a shorter time period thats even more people. Eventually everything will run out here too, it’s already begun. So let me ask you this - are we to throw out all labor and human rights reform and convert back to a slave based economy because we were too damn cheap now? Eventually we will have a world of people who kill eachother to work like slaves in order to get enough water to drink. Is that the sort of world you want? Just because it might cost more than one year of support (despite evidence to the contrary) you don’t agree with reform? In the name of humanity it costs too much to let them stay. Let’s support refund and aid in other countries so people can live and work there. Also birth control so that the human population can be reduced to sustainable limits. Here’s another idea - immigration only with mandatory sterilization. Sterilize every immigrant (Russian, Pole, Mexican, Indian, Pakistani, Sudanese, Cuban, Chinese what have you) that seeks medical attention in the US, and their children in the schools. Either one is a good solution.

It is worth it, since granting an illegal person the right to do illegal acts solves no problem, then what do you do with the next 20 million in 5 years.

How much does it cost us every time one sneaks across the border & spits out a kid. Any price would be cheaper than supporting them for the next 100 generations.

Over a five year period cheaper than keeping them! It would take five years to deport the majority of the obvious. Jailing employers would turn some to crime which would send them home also when caught. Momentum works wonders.

Whatever it costs, it'll be alot cheaper than keeping them on welfare and other government benefits for the rest of their lives.

If we give them anmesty.....what about the next 12 million that swarm across? Give them anmesty too? And the 12 million after them?
