I had couple black cars and while it does look great, it does take some extra work to keep it that way. I enjoy detailing my cars and I even do them as a side job. If you are not one to take care of your paint, I would go with a white. I had owned an IS 350 and it was silver. I bought it on impulse. It had just come out that week and someonw who ordered it failed to get his loan so the salesperson called me because I was a loyal customer. If I had a choice, I would go with the white. While is seay to care for a small dings are not visable like black. Black will show every flaw on the paint. Have you considered other colors? The graphite is nice. I have a LS 430 in Flint Mica (dark, graphite colors). If you go with the white, be sure you get the spoiler and the upgraded wheels, you will like the results. I hope this helps.

I like black because it hides dirt really well. My last 2 cars have been black and I just got a new red one and I can't belive how dusty it looks! Black gets hotter in the summer faster though. But it stays warmer in the winter.

It totally depends on the car, or truck. Some cars look much better black, and some look better white. I think black typically is more difficult to maintain.

Black cars absorb heat but hide dirt.

White cars repel heat but show dirt.

It might seem like the reverse would be true for hiding and showing dirt, but it isn't.

I think it takes a little more effort to keep white cars look clean/shiny. Plus, they look more like ambulance. :-)
