I think I see long worms in her stool that I have been mistaking for rubberbands and etc. I'm actually getting worried and will take her to the vet soon. Right now I just need some facts to know if she has it,and how much I should bring to the vet to cure it. Is it serious? She sure eats and drinks fine. She's still very hyper active. I was told she has been dewormed from the breeder but then she got parvo, so the credibility for the breeder is in jepordy. Please let me know everything you know.

It actually sounds like tapeworms. Are you seeing like little seasame seed looking things in her bedding? Tapeworms don't hurt the pup. However, they are pretty disgusting. The vet will just give her some medication and it in a day all the worms will be gone.

In this case it may not be the breeders fault with worms. Tapeworms come from eating an infected flea. Fleas act as an intermediary host for the growth of tapeworms. So when the dog eats the flea it gets tapeworms within three weeks. Either your dog may have fleas or it could have come from an external source.

All worms are curable. Even if your pup has roundworms, tapeworms, or any other kind of worms, if you detect it early the vet can take care of it with medication. It happens to most dogs at some point or another.

Just take your pup to the vet as soon as possible and they'll do a fecal sample test and let you know exactly what's wrong with your doggy. Remember don't worry too much. She'll be ok.

Even if your puppy was dewormed by the breeder she still needs to be dewormed again. Puppies need periodic deworming. Worms in a puppy can be very serious. I recommend that you take a stool sample in as soon as the vets office is open and get a fecal test done. Then you can get the proper dewormer for the type(s) of worms she has.
As for the parvo that likely isn't the breeders fault either unless the puppy had been exposed to it by the breeder before you bought it. The puppy had likely only had it's first vaccination for distemper/parvo when it left the breeders which means it stil lcould get parvo if exposed to it. A puppy needs a series of 3 vaccinations at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 16 weeks. If the parvo happened over 21 days after leaving the breeder then she was exposed to it by you in some way and not at the breeders.

I would say yes the puppy has worms. Take it to the vet and get em dewormed. Puppies most likely will need to be dewormed at least twice.

I think that at my vet it costs around $20 for the deworming. Bring in a fecal sample, that will save you $ if they don't have to extract it themsleves. You will probably be charged a fee to see the dr. as well. Call and ask before you make the appointment.

After the puppy is dewormed, they will continue to pass worms in their stools until their system is cleared, usually only about a day or so though.

The pup has roundworms and needs to be wormed. Take a fecal sample to the vet she was at and they will run it and give you what you need to treat all the kinds she has. If the breeder is in question, have the fecal done. That way you will not miss something. Roundworms are easily taken care of, but if the puppy were found to have whips, or coccidia, that could need a different treatment.
Better safe than sorry.

I'm glad you'll be going to the vet soon and hope all turns out well.
I use (EARLIWORM) Liquid Wormer by 8in1 every month, as recommended on package. It is possible to over-medicate so read insert well, please.
Where I take (my baby) the test is $27 or so, if you can take in a fresh stool sample it should be cheaper, and that was just for the test doesn't include office visit or medication plus flea treatment, I HIGHLY suggest (ADAMS FLEA AND TICK MIST,red labeled bottle) average price for that is about $12 for a 16oz spray bottle, YES!! it is worth it.
For a puppy hyper is good, to a point. It could be your pup needs to expend more energy. Keep in mind NOW is the time to show you are (top dog), lol, so to speak. gl n I hope all goes well

Take her to the vet if you see worms wiggling a little in her stool (with a sample in a baggie) and do not try to home medicate, there are several kinds of worms that it could be.

Plus, also ask the vet about if you should clean the area where the dog went to the bathroom, worms like hookworms can stay around for a long time and re-attach onto other animals (including humans)(and you'll need to bleach about an area about 3' in radius to try to get rid of them).

Yes, it definitely sounds like worms, probably roundworms. You should take a the pup and a stool sample to your vet so he can begin treatment for her. Costs depends on where you live, etc. At my vet it would probably be about $40 for vet visit and wormer, but my vet is a country vet.
