I never had any bad experiences with neighbors, but during college I got into a few fistfights and shouting matches with some of the people on my floor... because they were complete idiots, making noise at all hours of the night when I had early-morning classes (and sometimes exams) the next day. How fu(king inconsiderate can you be?

I literally got a summons to court for what amounted to being a *****.A now former neighbor of mine apparently had a really big problem with the fact that I'm Wiccan, have a child, and would not allow her to drag me into another drama involving yet another neighbor. After I finally lost my cool and told her to leave me the flying f*ck alone, the next day I find a note under my door, saying that I'll be sorry for not helping her.So one day, my roommates car died, and he ran out to an auto parts store, this psycho calls me up, saying she can't get into the basement of the building, and I HAVE to let her in through my apartment.(Oh, no I don't!!) or move the car myself.Yeah, like I could move an Oldsmobile all by my bad self.So I told her where to go and hung up.The cops show up 15 minutes later, this ***** is outside yelling at the top of her lungs about how she can't get into the basement and the cops tell her this is private property, they can't tow the car.The next week, I get a summons to court, along with a 6 page document of just what a rotten person I am!!! My favorite line was " ... she said she was a witch. Then she dyed her hair black."Like the 2 were related! Needless to say,the judge threw the case out without 1 word from me, ripped the psycho neighbor a new one and told me I had a legal basis for slander.I ended up moving out a few months later, to a better neighborhood.

The person in the apartment above me is a total freak! When I run the water in the kitchen they stop on the floor until I turn the water off. It's a really old building so the walls are really thin and the plumbing is really old. When I'm in the shower on the weekend they turn on their cold water or flush the toilet so I get really hot water. They're not awake when I shower during the week at 5AM thank goodness. They've started doing this thing now where they make a drumming noise on what sounds like a plastic bucket. I have no idea why.

I helped a friend who was in the hospital by staying with her grandchildren that she was raising at the time. They lived in a duplex, and the neighbors started partying on a school night. I made the mistake of knocking on the adjoining wall to see if they might get the message and quiet down. NO WAY, the woman tried to come through the wall, cussing, hollering...FLAT OUT GOING NUTS for probably an hour! It scared me and the children. I wrote a note the next morning and put it on their door, explaining the situation. I never saw or heard them again but that night was a nightmare!

Having lived in an appartment building in a not so nice part of town, I have several. However, this one was even worse than the guy who lived next door to us who farted so loud we could hear it through the wall.

I was living with my mom and sister at the time and we were sort of used to new neighbors every few months. This young couple and their infant moved in upstairs and one over. They played their stereo nonstop and super loud. Needless to say that their taste in music left much to be desired, but they would not turn it down. I kid you not, for about 2 weeks, I called the police daily. They would show up, they'd turn it down for 5 minutes, and turn it right back up. The management did nothing about it, so we broke our lease and moved into a house. I was able to get our deposit back since we were forced to move due to these horrible people. They were a couple of punks. One night, the guy threatened my mom. The next time my other sister and brother-in-law came over and mom told them what was going on, he lost it and we started moving the following day.

I now live with my boyfriend and we have a house in the country. My closest human neighbors are over 1/2 mile away and our immediate next door neighbors are longhorns. All they do is moo! We are kind of loud sometimes, I hope we aren't bothering the cows.

We had these neighbors that lived behind us. and for i'm not sure how many weeks they were riding their motorcycles in the backyard, Yes the backyard. It was so loud you could hear it not just in your house but blocks away.

They were riding in the small backyard that they already had. And all the neighbors that were home were all calling the police to complain. Finally after many weeks, these renters got booted out, Thankfully the Owner's of the house decided to sell the house not to renter's but to owenrs, and now we have nice quiet neighbors.

Oh come to find out they were selling drugs also to people from the house, which wasn't safe especially since it was by an elementary school and jr. high school.

Where do I begin!!! I had neighbors that made Hillbillies look smart! Within the first week of moving into our quite neighborhood the police were called. "Momma took my food stamps!" and they were FIGHTING in the front yard. Then the wife would get drunk and start cussing-out the Husband at the top of her lungs at 1 am on Sunday night. I was talking to the neighbor on the other side of me about phone serves. This woman stood on her front porch and yelled at me . She thought we were taking about her(yelled at the top of her lungs). This was about a week after they moved in. He would use their above ground pool for a bathtub. SWEET!!!!! He would even take their dog in there too. They never cleaned it either!!!! SWEETER!!!

My neighbor is elderly and he and his wife were trying to grill some burgers, and the flame was WAY to high so he took a broom and tried to out the fire. Turns out the broom caught flame and in a panic he tossed the broom which landed in my yard in a pile of dried leaves which caught flame! when I came home from work the whole side of my house was black with soot and fireman and police were everywhere! lol It was a day I'll never ever forget!

I lived in a 2-flat, downstairs. Had a crazy middle-aged woman living above me who used to listen in on my phone conversations. Whenever I'd mention that the crazy b*tch upstairs was listening, she'd start slamming around and screaming (while I was still on the phone).

Another 2-flat, this time I lived upstairs: The guy (white, about mid 20's) who lived with his aging mother in the downstairs apartment was a complete schizophrenic. He would spend the entire day downstairs (his mother was at work) screaming to himself and throwing stuff at the walls.

Both of these places were in Illinois. Stay out of Illinois--that place is CRAWLING with looney tunes.

I lived in an apartment building where people were very loud. We had a laundry room in the court, which was very visible to all. I came home one night and a man was standing in front of the washer and dryer units, lights on in the laundry room and measuring marijuana into little piles! I called management and they just laughed.
