I am visiting a mosque, they are followers of The Honorable Elijah Muhammad. Anyway...I am visting for the first time and I don't want to offend anyone. I am traditionally Baptist by birth, and when I go to a Baptist church, I wear slacks or jeans, depends on how I feel that morning. I am really not a dress person. So, with all of that said, what type of attire do I wear while visiting an Islamic Mosque? I really don't want to offend anyone by wearing something disagreeable.

I was invited by this dude that goes to my gym, but I will be going alone. I don't have any friends that would be going with me or have went on a regular basis. I am going because I haven't been to church in awhile and I feel that this is different and just may give me a better understanding of things.

I am not sure either but I think that if you dress respectable that would be OK. Nice pair of slacks and a button down shirt would be fine. To be on the safe side have a suit in your car just in case you need a quick change.

If you are visiting with friends who regularly attend, then they are really the ones best to advise you on "proper dress".
Just make sure most of your body is covered, and you are wearing nice clothing. If you are a woman, you might want a scarf to cover your hair.

i am not a muslim but .. i have seen ladies dressed in trousers with a long top over them ( like leggings and dress together ) and i think that looks beautiful and respectful
but i hope someone can help you more than i can xx

a plain bulap sack that covers the entire body from head to toe is appropriate. you wouldn't want to offend anyone and have them go jihad on you now.
you can cut eyeholes and cover your head with a plain scarf.
Dont bathe for several days, eat lots of garlic,and douse yourself with lots of perfume.
you will blend right in!
