Seeing ribs are ok, its a little thin but not too bad. I'd say plump her up by adding some wet kibble. In general so long as theres a lot of healthy muscle along with it, and some bodyfat you're doing ok.

You really need to worry though if you can see the hip bones at all.

I have three boxers, two 7 year old males (both just shy of 100lbs) and an 11 year old female(runt, about 45lbs). The males are pretty big but they weren't always that way, in fact they didn't actually seem to fill out until they were about 3, some one once told me that some dogs don't stop growing until they are about 3. it made sense to me but they may have been wrong. the best way to know for sure if your dog is too skinny is too ask your vet. But as far as my males go I could see ribs for a long time.

Boxer`s don`t tend to fill out until about 2 years old. Females range 45 to 60 lbs. Males up to 75 lbs. One of my females always appeared thin to me but my vet assured me she was just lean and muscular. She is 3 yrs old now and weighs 60 lbs and still looks a little skinny. As long as she`s eating and exercising I wouldn`t worry at this young age.

i think thats ok i have an 11 year old boxer. boxers will get bigger and fill out when they get older. just make sure you feed her right, let her or him get a lot of excercise, and give him or her a lot of attention. when i got kelly(my dog), she was 5 and 45 pounds. shes now like 68. boxers are really cool dogs and i am so glad that i have one. here is some pictures of her when she was 5: http://www.boxerrescue.com/kelly1100.htm

A vet can tell you what she should weigh based on her height, age & build. Boxers tend to be thin till they are between 2-3 years old, as long as she is healthy, active, worm-free & eating fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

I worked for vets when I had my first male - he was so thin till he was 3 they teased me about not feeding him! He was eating premium food I bought there. They are just so active & have fast metabolisms.

It's normal to see a dogs ribs when they are sniffing or even eating. As long as you can't see them when she just playing or laying around, I'm sure she's fine. Ask your vet to be sure.
