Laugh at him? No, feel sorry for him. He took part in an unjust war which is mass murder. A defensive war is acceptable but the iraq war sadly is not. Being well meaning does not make it a good war, nor does it make anyone wearing a uniform a "hero".

This is disgusting. Didn't ANYONE learn a lesson from Veitnam? Are people still so pathetic that they can't seperate a man doing his duty from the war itself? Do you think he, or any other soldier has a CHOICE? Why dont YOU go join the military? Then when they say you are going to war you can politely decline and see what prison that sends you to!
Treating soldiers, who joined the military to protect YOU, like this makes you a vile person. Not all liberals by the way would say such a thing to a soldier. I prefer to think most people wouldn't. I'm hoping this is only a small group of petty small-minded MORONS who haven't got the basic human decency to respect another person!

i cant quote the sites, as i dont wish to give them away and have them flooded and then turned offline due to haveing information that the higher ups wouldnt want people haveing, but the "lies" went all lies... ive seen the paper work for france sellign iraq anthrax (a strain that had 50% chance of being the strain found in the us after 9/11)... but like many other things, that iraq had perchased even with un resolutions blocking them (funny how france defies the un then the leader of the un gives them another and smiles while doing it).. see the things about bio weapons and other things in the middle east they dont stay in one place long, they go where they are needed or could be needed... and for a heavy price, ive seen the paperwork for 90% of that anthrax being sold to another country with in 2 months of our invasion of iraq in march 2003... as well as over 20 diffrent other substances that iraq "didnt" have... and most came from france and germany, the two biggest oponents internationaly to us invadeing iraq were oponents to it because they were iraq's weapons supplyers. not a big supprize for me to say that about france, just go back to ww2 they didnt even fight back aginst germany, they bent over and said please be gental. and while yes most of the stuff was destoryed in our attack of iraq or sold befor hand, there have been small finds, but these finds went enough for the bush admin to considerthem worth while. yet even some democrats are now angry because the finds wernt publicized on national tv... i dont approve of bush, never realy did, but bush isnt the only one to blame for the other lies of that war, congress approved it, they knew just as much of the truth as bush did, probly more, beacuse htey are the most coroupted form of the american govermental system. oh and at the time wasnt congress mostly democrats?

Who said he was an Army Captain? If he was wearing a uniform, that's no way to be sure. He didn't sound like a homeless vet, he sounds like someone trying to send a message.... to any fool that'll listen.

No! I would have asked if he needed help, and taken him to the nearest medical facility. What do you think, just because he's military, that he is no longer human? Maybe he just found out some horrible news.......hope i'm never having a bad day in your town!

Who wants to bet that this never happened?
And seriously, what kind of society do we live in if people walk by laughing at people crying in the streets and the only thing they say to them is "I told you so".

I wanted to laugh at a mentally challenged [retarded] girl at a restaurant for asking a completely stupid question.
In this case, I would laugh at him if I thought it was funny. I laughed at a woman beating her 15 year old kid with her purse. Who knows I might have found it funny.
