...then why not come to church and find out for yourself? There are friendly Christian congregations almost everywhere!

Church is about worshipping God, not judging others. No one is perfect, but by God's awesome grace and Jesus' resurrection, anyone can be forgiven and healed.

A church fellowship is also about building strong communities, connecting with neighbors, and making new friends. In addition to the usual Sunday-morning worship, most churches offer extra worship services, Bible-study groups, community service, volunteer opportunities, outreach programs and other activities throughout the week.

Won't you join us this Sunday?

know the truth about Christianity? I would recommend opening the Bible and start reading it. There are some True searchers out there Really trying to Find their way. Then there are the "hecklers". I personally have been on both sides of the Fence....I know who my Master is! How many out there will take the challenge to Put God to the test by knowingly following His arch rival? All I can say is when you do that you come to recognize that there is allot more than Man is willing to recognize or accept. Atheists is just a way of copping out! And no don't give me that drivel about proving it your thoughts aren't new or different. Look back in Grecian times. But one thing stands remarkably clear when the Dust of the Ages settles....The Bible is still here and will be here til He comes back. Amazing God promised and it is still here. He promised that He would reclaim His own....He gave us Jesus. Where is the body? Look and compare Gen. 1: 1-17:1-27 to Jon. 1:1-18. Everything was written for a purpose Because We are teenagers living in God's world. Failing to recognize His purpose and His plans for us. When will We decide to grow up and start looking at our role through His eyes? Good thing God has a sense of humor. No?

For the deluded 7th day adventists...

From the beginning of Christianity Christians assembled on Sunday, the day of Jesus' resurrection. There is clear evidence that the seventh day adventist's teaching on this is FALSE! The early "apologists" who wrote during the second century indicate that the church CONTINUED to meet on Sunday.

This was what was done from the beginning, not a change instituted by the catholic perversion of the church.

In 156 A.D. Justin Martyr wrote, "And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits..."

I just want to Answer DuckPhup, who unfortunatley has a very great misunderstanding about the Christian religion. It has been proven in history that the human nature is one of greed and lust for power, and those who can obtain that power try their best never to let go of it, which is the case with many corrupt leaders in the church and in politics and corporations alike. Chrisitanity requires no obligation, and we are taught that God will not judge you for something unless you agree to do it. Unfortunatley you have been introduced to a very grim picture of Chrisitianity, which mostly comes from the ancient corrupt Catholic church. If any Christian does not want to participate in some event their church is running, they are not obliged to, otherwise that church is not truly Christian. If you go and talk to theologians or Monks, ususally they will give you a clearer and more accurate interpration of Christianity. These people are Free-Thinkers as a matter of a fact, because they chose to consider(which is a form of thinking), Chrisitanity and join and better understand the religion. It is not a cult, because the description of a cult says that you have no free will and you are forced to engage in rituals that go against human nature, which is not evident in mainstream Christianity, including the Catholic, Orthodox, and original Protestant Churchs( Baptist, Lutheran etc.). If you want more information and interpretations of Chrisitiantiy I am more than glad to help you or anyone, if you ever change your mind.

Like I've said before, "there's nothing worse than advertising a religion like it's a George Foreman Grill" I'm pretty sure your church has wonderful things to offer for people in your community who are willing to learn about God's love and greatness. But for us who are here just to answer questions and are not interested in picking up a new faith, leave us be. Religious propaganda like that, as good-hearted as it may be, will lead to nothing but hate-bashing by the nonreligious. Luckily, I went easy on you because you seem like a nice person. ;-) P.S. I gave you a thumbs up too.

No. I will not be joining any religious gathering on any day of the week. I will be volunteering for another organization tomorrow, though I don't have a problem volunteering with a church if their activity benefits the community. I simply won't be following their beliefs in the process, other than a belief in helping others.

I already know the 'truth' about christianity. Been there... done that. Christianity is essentially a criminal business enterprise... in fact, it is the world's longest running and most successful Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) scam. The product they are selling is the illusion of 'salvation'... and the 'pay plan' doesn't kick in until after you're dead. Meanwhile the VICTIMS (having been deceived into believing that it is their God-given duty) are out there busily recruiting MORE victims. What a racket! FORTUNATELY, it only works on those who are gullible enough, and sufficiently lacking in critical thinking skills, to fall for it, and buy into the prepackaged delusion. UNfortunately, THAT accounts for about 75% of the population of the USA. (There are a lot more people who DON'T know how to think properly than there are people who DO know how to think properly.) That is why there are a lot more religious people in the USA than there are 'Free-thinkers'... including Atheists. Also, Christians are generally too dense to realize that proselytizing (spreading the 'good news') is a key element of the Christian MLM MARKETING PLAN, which was instituted after Christianity lost the political power that had previously allowed them to simply torture and kill anybody who did not comply. Now, they obliviously try to just pester and annoy people to death, through persistent obnoxiousness. If you stop to think about it, you will realize that Christians are very much like the Borg, on Star Trek Next Generation: "You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile." I would not be surprised to learn that thoughts of Christianity provided the 'creative spark' for the Borg concept.

Why go on the Pope's day rather than God's day? I would rather follow God than the Pope of Rome so I will go on the day God says to go on, not the Pope. God says the seventh day but the Pope says the first. I follow God so I won't be visiting you Sunday.
