I think you mean CREST syndrome.

CREST is an acronym for:

Calcinosis
Reynaud's phenomenon
Esophageal dysmotility
Sclerodactyly
Telangectasias

This is an autoimmune/rheumatologic condition closely related to "scleroderma". The process involves diffuse deposition of collagen protein fibers throughout tissue where it doesn't belong.

Calcinosis refers to inappropriate deposition of calcium in tissues, making it hard.

Reynaud's phenomenon is a vascular problem where the fingertips become cold and white.

Esophageal dysmotility is a problem involving the deposition of collagen fiber in the normally muscular esophagus, which then becomes rigid. Swallowing becomes a problem and so does reflux with heartburn.

Sclerodactyly refers to hardening of the fingers

Telangectasias are small nests of capillaries in the skin. They look like small spidery red splotches in the skin which turn normal skin color when compressed with a finger tip, but turn red again as soon as pressure is removed.

Hope that helps!

Check the spelling, as it does not come up as anything else on answers.com other than the leafy vegetable.
