To increase muscle mass you'll have to be weight training on a consistent basis over a period of weeks and months, it's a real commitment. Nothing can be accomplished in a day except getting sore, you can just start a program in a week, but it takes longer than this to get results.

just like cornsilk p said, it takes longer than a day or a week. Also doing light workout reps will only tone your muscles and increase your endurance. For bulky muscles, you have to do slow heavy workouts in order to stretch your strength.
