honestly, i'm not.

you mess around with animals the way he did, you're bound to get killed.

the only thing i was surprised by was that it was a stingray that took him out.

a stingray?!?

i was thinking it would have been a bear or a shark or even a swarm of killer bees.

but, a stingray?!?

that's the only thing that was kinda surprising.

I wasn't surprised. How many times has he made a point of pissing an animal off so we can see the reaction? He's been bitten by snakes and other animals many times. Sooner or later the odds of probability were bound to go against him.

And as Bill Mahr said the other night, it's called a STINGray, not a hugray. The man was only messing with it because it can be dangerous and even deadly. This time he screwed up. If you live a high risk life sooner or later you are going to lose the gamble.

I'm sorry for his family that he died, but I can't make myself pretend any shock at it.

I always was nervous watching his show. After awile, he never got hurt seriously so I kind of mentally pictured him as "invincible", even though everyone, and me, knew it would only be a matter of time. I can't say I was surprised, or that I wasn't. Yes, I WAS surprised that it was a stingray, NO I wasn't suprised that he died doing his job he loved so much that it killed him. Well, he's in a better place.

Yes I was surprised that a stingray got him. He usually is pretty cautious with snakes and crocs. Stingrays are usually pretty docile. That may have been his downfall, he let his guard down.

Ditto. For me it wasn't a matter of oh my goodness, he died. It was only a matter of time. The stingray part did surprise me though.

I'm kind of surprised he lasted this long. I expected him to be eaten by a crocadile or something like that, not a stingray.

But not in the method, OK?

I knew this guy would never see retirement, but by a stingray?

If I sufferred death by sting ray, that would be suprising I don't swim. But this bloke was constantly chasing dangerous animals around.God Rest His Soul yadda yadda yadda, but he had a few screws loose. We had a friend of his in Aus say that he "died doing what he did best".Not good enough apparently.

It caught my attention when I heard it the first time of TV.. I thought I must have heard in in a dream but they they mentioned it again a few minutes later. WOW! He was a man who led an exciting life and did what he loved to do. He also died doing what he loved to do.

I think it's kinda sad. I've been following the news on that and they were saying that from studying the footage recorded (because he was on action making the movie) he did NOTHING to provoke the stingray.

And to get stabbed in the heart and leave behind his wife and kids... that's pretty sad

You are right.
But, I think he had bad thinking to
take chances as he did considering he had
a family, I said a Prayer for him, and his family.
I don't know why someone like the guy who will
be disabled the rest of his life for playing with that tiger,
and the tiger bit him, do such tnings.
Irrisponsible.
